The Intra-company transfer work permit is ideally suited for individuals and corporations wishing to transfer from a branch of a company located outside South Africa into South Africa. This applies to executives and critical staff which are deemed necessary for the operations of the SA branch. Applications are made from outside South Africa and the permit is valid for a maximum of 4 years.

An intra company transfer work permit takes an average 10 to 12 weeks to process however it is well advised to start preparations at least 16 weeks in advance to make room for eventualities. Documents required include:

All the submitted documentation will be processed in an average time of 4 weeks and will be presented to you for submission at the relevant embassy or VFS office in your home country.
You will be required to make submission of the processed documents at a VFS centre or SA embassy in your home country or nearest neighboring country. Once submission is done it will take the embassy an average 6 to 8 weeks to issue your permit after which you may travel to South Africa.
